? Settling Dust ?

Category: Event Prompts
Ends: 30 November 2020, 23:59:59 UTC (1 year ago)

You had an eventful night, it seems. Click here for more info.

Details

The events of last night have left everyone unsettled and tired; this morning is a tense one, with you and your neighbors milling around as you await answers. Each of you had a different experience last night, and you're all handling this morning differently. In this event prompt, follow the guidelines of your chosen "canon" ending to fulfill the promp requirements.

Cutting It Close

  • Last night was pretty scary, but you had an up-close encounter with one of the mutated hanasei. Your neighbors are curious and worried, looking for any information they can, and you think you might be able to help. Draw or describe your hanasei's conversation with one of their neighbors the following morning. Are they scared? Playing it off? Be sure to depict the effects your character's encounter had on them.

All's Well

  • You saw some spectacular things last night, but the event left you confused and worried the following morning. Your neighbors are all in a tizzy, gossipping amongst themselves as they try to fill in the many blanks the Ichorist left. You think you might have even heard about another of your neighbors' attempts to fight one of those big hanasei! Draw or describe your hanasei's attempts to get answers for themselves.

Once Bitten

  • You had a bad night. You woke up this morning with a neat new scar and plenty of painful injuries to tend to, and you don't even have anything cool to show for it! However, something that Ichorist said stuck with you. As the morning goes, you notice a nervous storm of energy that wasn't there before. It's like your aether is bubbling up inside you, like you're producing more than you ever have in your life. Draw or describe your hanasei's attempts to deal with this overproduction. Do they try to seek out one of the Ichorists? Do they get some exercise? Maybe the best they can do is rant to their neighbors about the harrowing encounter!

Time to see if all that studying has paid off! Click here for more info.

Details

Now that the Ichorists have begun teaching hanasei across the city, life seems to be going back to normal. Their school is established, much of the damage has been repaired, and even your injuries are fading. However, pushing your aether is a dangerous passtime, and more mutated hanasei are not as rare a sight as anyone would like them to be. Normally, the Ichorists would calm them themselves, but this is a good chance to test your newfound skills! Draw or describe your hanasei calming or defeating a mutated hanasei with their aether.

Growing Pains

Show the world your nymph isn't a little kid anymore with this Growth Prompt! Click more for details.

Details

Being a nymph is pretty weird. Larva have no legs, their eyesight sucks, and they need help with everything -- not you, though (at least, anymore!) Nymphs are the big kids of the nursery, taught simple subjects and basic language. They may not be able to leave the water yet, but with rapidly-developing lungs and stubby limbs, the day they can gets closer all the time.

Draw or describe a big accomplishment for your little nymph! This might be the first time they poked their head above the water, or the first day they noticed the beginnings of their horns or cheek pouches. Maybe they made something they really liked, such as a sand castle or sculpture; perhaps they won a race against a rival. Kids are always discovering new things!

This prompt awards a Growth Medallion, which can be attached to Design Updates on your FTO Hanasei to age them by one stage.
