Growing up can be a scary, awkward, painful time. Everything's changing all the time and everyone bigger than you acts like they know more than you. It can be pretty isolating... but that's what we make friends for! Draw or write your character making a friend for the first time. How did they meet and where? What made them become friends in the first place? What kind of things do they like doing together?

Learning from those around you is part of life. Most of the time, you have some kind of older figure showing you the ropes, whether it be a family member, a mentor, or maybe a teacher. Maybe your character has someone like that in their life! Draw or write your character with a parent, mentor, or otherwise another figure they look up to. What's their relationship like? What kind of things do they learn from them? Are they close or is there some negative feelings or distance there?

Do they struggle with these new powers or do they take to them better than their peers? Do they get help from a tutor of some sort or do they figure things out on their own, for better or worse?

There are a lot of different pains that come with growing up. Changes in your body, the new emotions you don't know how to deal with, and newfound responsibility can all hurt, in some way or another. Or maybe are they dealing with questions they don't know the answers to?
