The more advanced one becomes with their control of water, the better they can control where it goes and fight against it. However, most users prefer to fight alongside where the flow of water takes them, or create their own current if the present doesn't favor them.

Show your character learning to control water with more precision. Are they creating new, stronger currents and performing swimming maneuvers, such as diving and breaking the surface? Do they train to create small waves and surf in them? Or are they maneuvering water on dry land, trying to capture the water molecules in air to juggle and dance with?
