Once you become adapted to the cold, new paths open to what you can do with Gero. Moving and shaping snow, freezing water and cooling things are all at an arms length, but once must keep training to resist the new challenges they face when dealing with even more extreme temperatures, otherwise it can all backfire.

Show your character making use of Gero in more expanded ways. Are they freezing water in lakes to create small paths? Shaping ice and snow in more honed ways? Or do they try and cool areas that aren't freezing already, creating their own snowy sphere? Do they feel frostbite crawling as they practice, and how do they resist it?
